Tail Suspension Test

The tail suspension test is a kind of depression-like model. Mice are suspended by their tails with tape, in such a position that it cannot escape and then immobility. Six minutes in duration for video is recorded and the video is later scored for immobility using EthoVision XT. The tail-suspension test is a highly validated test for potential antidepressant pharmaceutical compounds.
