Mouse Room Conditions

 

Light-dark cycle: A 12 light/12 dark cycle is commonly used (7:00 am to 7:00 pm lights on)

Temperature and humidity: The animal facility was maintained at 18~26℃ ,30~70% RH.

Water and Diet: Mice are housed in cages and allow free access to reverse osmosis water with UV sterilization and chow diet (5053-PicoLab® Rodent Diet 20 [Protein, 21%; Fat, 11.3%, etc.].

Bedding: Mice are generally housed in groups in cages lined with an absorbent bedding material at ambient temperature. LIGNOCEL® 3-4 S is used as the bedding material and its physical and chemical properties as following:
Color: yellow; Structure: fibrous; Grain size, main share: 2.0 mm -4.0 mm; bulk density : 90 g/l – 160 g/l; residue on ignition (850 °C, 4 h) : approx. 0.5 %; pH-value : 5.5 +/- 1.
