Dynamic Weight Bearing

"How to relief the pain?" has been an important research theme for the world. Pain can be classified into the mechanical, thermal, and spontaneous categories and the first two are common pain model in mice studies. Taiwan Mouse Clinic offers the Dynamic Weight Bearing (DWB) system to measure the spontaneous pain. This instrument uses a pressure-sensitive plate and a camera to detect the weight distribution, duration, area of each mouse limb, and the positioning of the front and rear limbs. The equipment provides different parameters to analysis the data and the DWB is believed to be a very important analytical instrument in the study of spontaneous pain in the future.
