Modified-SHIRPA
Modified SHIRPA provide a comprehensive assessment of primary mouse behaviors and a screen for dominant phenotypes of mutant animals. This test consists of 58 subtests: 33 behavioral observations, 7 metabolic or disease observations, 2 additional comments on behavior arena protocol, and 16 new criteria of morphologic appearance that were designed to screen for developmental and metabolic anomalies. All behaviors are scored to provide a semi-quantitative assessment of each parameter and gives a rough behavioral profile of the animal and also provides indications about specific behavioral anomalies resulting from muscular, lower motor neuronal, spinocerebellar, sensory and autonomic defects.
